I try to buy mostly fresh fruits and vegetables when I grocery shop, and fresh from your own garden is even better! I love fresh because it tastes so good, and when in season, its really affordable. But there are times when you need a good go-to frozen vegetable. Well, I've found them (at least two of them).
That's right! Western Family. Who knew? I'm glad my aunt did, who told my sister, who told me. You have to make sure you get the premium super sweet white corn. They have other kinds of corn, and truth be told I haven't tried them. I love this one enough that I don't care to try any others.
We eat this plain all of the time, and I also love using it in soups, salads, dips, or anything else. The sweetness is perfect!
Western Family also has premium petite peas. Just like the corn, they have other kinds of peas. Make sure you get the premium petite ones. They're so delicious! They're a great crowd-pleasing side dish for any dinner.
Not only are these veggies really good, but you can't beat the price. Normally they're around $1.3o a bag, but they go on sale a lot. I just stocked up yesterday because they were 88 cents a bag! I love great food at a great price, don't you?
